Both girls remain engrossed in the conversation I had just left. I walk down the corridor. I ask my mother if anyone could come into the loo while I was in there. No, she says. No one will, she assures me. A few seconds later, the door bursts open and the two girls enter, excited, eager, asking me question after question. I tell them to leave. I say, “Please just let me finish peeing and I will be right out.” They ignore me and continue to speak. I can see a sea of people behind them and the girls aren’t listening to me and I grow increasingly frustrated. I remember that my mother practically promised that no one would enter this sanctuary. Annoyed, “Mom!” I yell, and wake myself up.
