“Ring out the old, ring in the new,
Ring, happy bells, across the snow:
The year is going, let him go;
Ring out the false, ring in the true”

– Lord Alfred Tennyson

I believe that if you want to make a resolution you don’t need the end of a year and the beginning of a new one to come along. It can be made at any time, whenever the thought enters your head. That being said, I suppose it is easier to have what seems like a fresh start. You get to start at the number 1, and you know you have exactly 365 days ahead of you (assuming it isn’t a leap year).

2010 zipped by all of us at breakneck speed, wouldn’t you agree? Here’s hoping we don’t turn a year older quite as quickly this time around. A very happy new year to all!
